Job Description
About Us
Systalyze is a fast-growing startup at the intersection of AI and systems optimization. We are on a mission to drive innovation through cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights.
Role Overview
We’re looking for a software engineer with deep infrastructure expertise. This is not a “pure ops” role—you’ll be writing Go code, working with Kubernetes APIs, and shaping how we deliver our platform across cloud and customer environments. If you’ve ever built operators, worked with cloud SDKs, or automated complex distributed systems in Go, this role is for you.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure systems in Go.
Own the packaging, release, and lifecycle strategy for customer-distributed Kubernetes components (Helm charts, CRDs, binaries, agents).
Implement versioning, upgrade, and rollback mechanisms for distributed Kubernetes software.
Automate deployment pipelines for both cloud-hosted and customer-hosted environments.
Design secure delivery of artifacts (OCI registries, private repos).
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define the contract between hosted and customer-hosted environments.
Provide cross-cloud functionalities across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Skills & Qualifications
5+ years as a software or infrastructure engineer, with strong coding skills in Go.
Experience with Kubernetes internals: client-go, controllers, operators, Helm charts, CRDs.
Hands-on knowledge of at least one major cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and familiarity with the others.
Experience building software distribution strategies for on-prem or customer-managed deployments.
Solid grasp of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, CircleCI, etc.).
Familiarity with Terraform and cloud SDKs.
Understanding of container registries, artifact management, and secure software supply chain is a plus.
Strong communication skills—you’ll work closely with both internal developers and customer DevOps teams.
Bonus Points
Experience distributing commercial Kubernetes software or operators (e.g. Datadog Agent, Prometheus Operator, etc.).
Knowledge of Kubernetes multi-tenancy and RBAC best practices.
Experience with zero-downtime rollout strategies and service meshes (e.g. Istio, Linkerd).
Security expertise in Kubernetes and cloud environments.
